It Is Not Your Usual Strategy Game: Age Of Empires Online

I am still catching up with the Archon Quest in Genshin Impact but from time to time I’ve been playing a lot of games. I actually went back to check out Age Of Empires Online of Project Celeste. I continued the campaign of the Roman Campaign. Roman can be a good civilization in the game though they need a lot of resources. They are the most expensive civilization in the game but it doesn’t mean they are the powerful.

Compared to other civilizations, Roman has a lot of buffs but would cost you a lot. They are the civilization of all trades though they have no specialty, I just love the Palintonon and their archers. The units that have “shields” really do not do much of a damage.

Age of Empires Online is another departure from the original formula. This particular entry didn't focus on the single-player experience, but built an online multiplayer component. Players choose a civilization and can participate in a variety of PvE and PvP content.

Games like Age of Empires aren't going out of style anytime soon. It's easy to get lost in an immersive strategy game or RTS game. With so much fun gameplay to explore, it's easy to see why games like Age of Empires are so popular.

Age of Empires Online incorporates the classic real-time strategy game of Age of Empires into a quest-based online structure. Similar to previous games in the series, most missions will require you to build your economy, then your army, and then smash all those who oppose you with the occasional more unusual mission. The difference is between missions; in your capital, you can equip your soldiers, unlock technologies, craft items, and more. Items found, purchased, or crafted in quests provide unit benefits. For example, a bronze sword can give hoplites a 3% bonus to damage. Technology is unlocked through technology points, and technology points are earned through levels. Only unlocked technologies can be researched during missions. Both story quests and side quests are available, and some quests can be repeated for more experience points, items, and gold. Which I really enjoy, you get to upgrade your units and build them unlike the other similar games that you can end up the same time and time again or just counter the enemies with a single type of unit. You can charge with archers all throughout the game.

I am still on the verge of exploring the game for more understanding and maximizing what is still there to upgrade. Unlocking the potential of your chosen civilization would really take a lot of time from you, though this is not the actual game review for it, I am still looking for different games to play. Steam has a lot of games on sale right now so I think this is another opportunity to play those games waiting to be discovered.

Now you know what category I was looking for, yes mostly strategy games because I think they should have a place in this blog. Besides strategy games are where I started my gaming enthusiasm, from the early stages of Red Alert and Command and Conquer to Starcraft to Age Of Empires! These are the games that I grew up with so it's imperative to feature Strategy games here in the blog. To be honest, strategy games go beyond just building bases, there are strategy games that have a survival game element to it or an RPG element to it. Strategy games are no longer the usual building bases and smash the opposing faction, they grew and upgraded different elements as well so you may see that here in the blog.
