Disney+ Is Already In The Philippines: Catch Up To All Marvel

There are no words for this amazing launch of Disney+ in the Philippines. Yes, the Marvel-rich streaming platform is finally in the Philippines. Which means we can have an insight on what is in store for us fans in the coming days. We can at least connect the dots where we have left off. With the access in this platform it unlocks all other specials that the Marvel Cinematic Universe have. I can update in a very timely manner, now that we have access to the main platform where all the marvel lore will revolve into.

Despite the issues in logging in of some of the subscribers, the launch is straight up successful. The initial stream would lag at some point in the beginning but it gets better in a few minutes or so. The first thing I checked is really not the Marvel ones, I relatively checked what other movies in the platform. When Disney acquired Fox in 2017, the Marvel fans were focused on Deadpool and what will be the MCU moving forward. Fast forward now, this means 21st Century Fox movies are available now on the platform. Through the years there are a lot of movies created by the studio that will be available as well on the platform. This is also a breakthrough for the Star Wars fans, because Lucasfilms is in the same backyard with Fox.

Well subscribing is really not that hard, the hardest part is if you can keep them all. Netflix already established a strong user base in the Philippines. Mostly because of their KDrama releases or Korean horror movies. Will they have enough content on the platform that will be worthwhile for the Philippine fans?

What is it for the Blog?

When Daredevil and Iron Fist was still with Netflix I did attempt to watch it however when the whole MCU story arc was already coming together, I focused on what the MCU is currently serving that time. Now that they also bought this and we already have the hint from Hawkeye that the same actor played Wilson Fisk will be the same as the MCU I got interested. With the recent Hall H announcement, there will be another Daredevil, people are saying it will be a reboot, but how reboot is the reboot right?

With this uncertainty, we need to keep up with the information that the existing Daredevil series have on where the new Daredevil content will pick up. There may be relevance still to the Netflix Daredevil, or the new Daredevil will pick up some bits and pieces from the past of the Netflix Daredevil. While there is a lot of buzz on Daredevil, let’s see what is in store for the rest of The Defenders. These are also included in the acquisition. Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage are acquired by Marvel from the Netflix Originals.

While the Defenders can have a bright future in the Marvel Universe,  I am not so sure with the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It is clear that Coulson is long gone since the first Avengers, however with the Quantum realm and Multiverse opening the floodgates, will there be a second coming of Agent Coulson?

Remember that Coulson already died in the first Avenger. Struck by the staff of Loki, by Loki, Coulson became the catalyst to actually ablaze the focus of the disoriented team then from the first Avengers film to become what they are in the end of Avengers Endgame. Will they revive the role of Coulson? There is no news yet about the progress or what holds in the future of the Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. However S.H.I.E.L.D. will always have an integral part in all of what is happening in the MCU they are watching and observing ready to activate.

To what Disney would do with these new acquisitions, we all have to trust Kevin Feige on this. I know there will be good timing in all of this. We should sit back and relax and enjoy the rest of the content until they unfold the real deal in all of these.
