Smarter Matchmaking On MOBA Like League Of Legends: Wild Rift



I go on and off on Wild Rift, however now that I am back with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, I think this should be clear, we need a better matchmaking logic! Maybe just maybe Mobile Legends giving the players freedom on picking whatever they want in a match, but the players have been dictating what hero S4 or S5 should be picking because they are the last to pick.


It is not their fault!



There could be a breach if Mobile Legends: Bang Bang would copy the same system that League Of Legends: Wild Rift has as of the moment. Which I think should be a standard in all MOBA games. We are creating toxic players given the freedom to choose whatever they want. It is always S1 to S3 are the team players and if the roles have been filled S4 and S5 would be a not team player not filling in the missed roles. Here’s why it is toxic.


In League of Legends, you can choose which role you want to be in the matchmaking process. If you declare that you want to use mage, you will fit right in on the side that is needing a mage. With that the player will have the freedom and at the same time, the team will be perfectly harmonious since everyone will be playing their best roles. With that there is a much higher chance to win since everyone enjoys and gets to play their best champions.



Compared to the existing system of Mobile Legends, it seems Mobile Legends is made for a structured group. Currently Mobile Legends has no system to declare what role you will play in the team. You will be just surprised that there are 2 mage users on your team or no one is using a tank on your team. This can be more disadvantageous if you don’t adjust the doubt will be on you. 


Players are getting judged just by picking heroes but it should not be the case. Players should be respectful of their teammates. Sometimes it will be a competition of which mage is better or sometimes if it's not the desired role, the player will be bullied.


These instances of bullying in games should not be given to the players, however if it's the game’s default, players tend to adhere to these conditions. Creating a culture of toxic players bullying teammates. Is this what we want for our players?



This is a call to the developers of Mobile Legends to fix this kind of system in matchmaking. Players are getting too entitled because of this broken system. Games should be enjoyable at all times, not a venue for bullying. MOBA should be a venue of friendship but most of the players would start solo queueing but doing it solo would mean the player would adjust to any role. Maybe it is good that we are flexible in any role but at first you will only master one or two characters not even mastering a role. The game should be starter friendly, novice friendly and not a place where bullying lurks.



I am playing solo, no squad or any other clan that there is in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. I received a lot of unnecessary remarks from my own teammates. This should stop and do not let it come to a point wherein the game will slowly die because of the player base they have in the game.


For the game developers planning to create a new MOBA, there should be a smart matchmaking mechanism within the game so it will not be unfair for players that are focused to do one role only. Games should be enjoyable and should be playable either with friends or squad or solo. It should be a venue of friendship and not a place of bullies.
