Anime Review: I Have No Words In This Seinen Anime, No Words

The following review is a bit rated, it involves a very sensitive Anime. The cover says it all,  though I got interested in the relationship of the two main characters. It is like Game of Thrones’s Lannisters with a twist, actually without a twist.

I watched the Anime Aki Sora.

I only watched the OVA of Aki Sora, since I can not find anywhere else series, Aki Sora Yume No Naka.

There are a lot more questions than answers in the OVA since I don’t know the background of this Anime. The anime started pretty intense already, it seems innocent however the full context of what they're doing in the few seconds of the anime is pretty lewd.

Most of the anime do not have in-depth explanations about what is happening. That is why I am very happy with Bubble. At least they have an explanation why there is a big bubble encasing Tokyo. The origin of the bubble was not told in the movie however at least to why the current situation came about was described. Now to how the relationship was developed between the siblings maybe the answer is in the series, however I treated the OVA like any other Anime.

In the OVA there are these 3 siblings, Sora, Aki and Nami.Nami and Sora are the twins in this anime and Aki is whom Sora has intimate relationship with. The anime is hilarious and especially Nami. He punches Sora like an MMA fighter. Though it lacks some common scenarios when they are in school. Like Sora has no actual friends? I don’t know but at least there is someone out there. Or to spice things up, aren’t other boys that try to check on Aki? She is a model student so I am not sure why we do not have those instances in this anime. Kana is the only classmate that can be seen in this anime that has admiration for Sora. Come on, really? I am thinking if this is just a smut or really seinen.

Seinen in japanese means youth, in the manga scene, it means that the targeted audience for that specific manga is young men.

In the anime, there is this scene where Sora locked himself up in a Gym’s locker while Aki is looking for her. There is this backstory where Sora was lost and was trapped in a similar structure as the Gym’s locker, and Aki saved him. I am not sure what was behind that story if Sora ran away for a mistake that he made. I am curious what was behind that running away incident.

Now my doubts are done, in general it is not that bad however you should be watching the series to be able to fully understand what is happening. It was just curiosity that brought me here in this Anime. I would really think Sora has trauma that he did not know. With the extreme deeds that Sora and Aki are doing for the past years, I think it builds up a trauma. He can’t express himself, he knows it is wrong to feel this way to an older sister but it seems he can’t let go. In the end, I felt sad towards Sora, that he should at least resist and go with Kana instead.
