MCU Trailers After Trailer - Will The Studio Spring Back With The Loss Of Phase 4?

The upcoming movies will start strong in the coming months. Trailers after trailers revealing what is still there to hype. Phase 4 really started off strong kicking off with a backstory of our favorite spy, then the first Asian hero, Shang-chi. It is pretty steady up to the Multiverse of Madness until Thor comes around.

A lot of fuzz when Thor: Love and Thunder released that it ruined the whole idea of Thor in the movie. I guess fans are not wrong with them complaining about Thor, the whole Thor thing is to have a Godly presence on your side. Thor was never a laughing matter in the comics, if they think they opt to put humor in Thor movies, it should be left with Krug.

Did Love and Thunder really flop?

In my opinion, no it didn’t but it disappoints a lot of fans. The only good I can see here is Christian Bale. The thing is there are humorous moments in the past phases of the MCU but it is a subtle execution. Ant-man can be funny but it requires on the scene. Scott Lang should be funny enough to make her daughter smile. The very first installment of Thor, Thor can joke around yes, but not that his actions are all based on jokes. That taunting from an Asian movie on the Gorr battle scene is really no longer necessary. Thor can be fearless but it should be a serious scene already. Though it was not all Thor ruined Phase 4, Eternals has also a fair share of floppiness.

Though I do not entirely say that the movie is ugly in its entirety, the movie is a bit bland. I guess this is the case of a lot of strong people in a movie at the same time kind of predicament. Eternals are just too strong and they just say that they have always let the people decide or they did not involve themselves in human conflict? I understand that the Battle of New York only happened in New York and when Thanos is looking for the stones it only happened in Wakanda and New York (again), but the Convergence in Thor: The Dark World, it can be a threat on what they are trying to do on Earth right? Sersi is in Europe and Jane Foster and team is in Europe as well so it is a bit impossible not to intervene with this huge circumstance.

Quantumania and Guardians of The Galaxy are the much awaited movies next to Wakanda Forever that ended strong in Phase 4. That is a huge comeback, from a dreaded 2nd half of Phase 4. The trailers come pretty solid from these 2 upcoming MCU movies, the fans hoping for a solid phase 5 this time.

The humor and some fool proof circumstances that stand on the first 2 phases of the MCU. Humor that is necessary, the jokes should be on the atmosphere and not on the main character itself. Even Age of Ultron didn’t do much. I love the humor at the start of the film. Those kinds of wittiness should be in the film and not some slapstick treatment. I appreciate Mr. Waititi’s version of Thor, but it's like Shyamalan working on Last Airbender. I am looking forward to someone from Marvel Studio looking into the quality of films moving forward.

MCU is successful on the first 2 Phases that they have maintained the comic fans and the new ones. Comic fans have a sense of relatability as some scenes are from the comics, even the new ones don’t get it, the execution on how it was stitched together is flawless so that the new fans can catch up. Now the studio is banking that the entertainment is backed with humor, humor that was already out of hand. It doesn't feel like a superhero movie anymore, it became a universe of multiple Deadpools messing the life of the villain. Will they get back up again? Fans would hope that they come back but it will all depend on the "creative" taste of the next movies.
