Genshin Impact Update - Are You Ready For Cyno?

I guess I am still behind with all of the quests within Sumeru, since I just started the quest of Rana in Woodland Encounter. Players say this is a one long hell of a quest, with the days just counting for the 3.1 Update what do you think of this coming update? Though I badly needed a Hydro character, I am more interested in Cyno. I guess 2 Electros are not enough. Here’s why he is interesting.

I guess I am a bit of a Polearm junkie as Cyno, another Polearm character and another Electro character caught my attention. If being a Polearm and Electro character is all I am looking for, that would be an easy guess, however, I am also fond of Egyptian costumes. Egyptians have always fascinated me with their pyramids and Gods. Their grand and majestic appearance has always chills me to the bone. Going back to Cyno, besides him being like some kind of an “Egyptian Priest” he is the link to Collei’s illness. Besides that, he could be a key to the mystery of a Harbinger that brought it to Collei. There are a lot of intertwined stories within Cyno that would answer a lot of questions.

Collei’s Condition

I did not yet read the manga of Genshin Impact but there might be some info there about Cyno as well, you can comment in the comments or share it in our Contact Us page. We would really love to hear it from you there. All I know as it was mentioned in the parts of the Sumeru quests, that Cyno removed the curse or condition that was brought by the Harbinger, however not the Eleazar that Collei is currently experiencing. Maybe just maybe with the help of Tighnari there could be a way in healing Collei. My whole point is that the removal of the condition that the Harbinger has put Collei to the movement of Collei to Mondstadt is still an open story. Why did she move to Mondstadt instead of Sumeru? Something just did not add up on that part that could be answered by Cyno somewhere in the story.

The Identity Of The Harbinger

If he can remove the condition that the Harbinger has put into Collei, he is aware of what it is? Being aware of what it is, he could have known that Harbinger had put it into Collei. Remember that there is a new Harbinger besides Scaramouche, that will be introduced in 3.1 Update, he is the one that has somewhat brainwashed the people of Sumeru. This is according to the trailer, or it could be a whole different Harbinger all together.

Living In The Desert

Though Cyno is a scholar in Akademiya, he is not living in Sumeru, he lives in the Desert. What conspiracy could Cyno add on the table? There is also a hint that he does not go along pretty well with Alhaitham. Two scholars that really don’t go along well? Sus.

There are a lot of things that Cyno could add up to the lore. The lore has been good so far. It is like a TV series or an MCU movie that tickles our brain. Though it's been a while that we did not hear about the sibling of our main character, will this also open possibilities on the main quest of our Traveler? I am expecting there should, since the dev did not bring it up in the Chasm, the main quest should not be forgotten that long.

This will be a crazy quest again, my mind got twisted when I am clearing the Perilous Trail, now this will be another puzzle to take. I am excited with Cyno not because of his character in the game, but his character in the story. It will open new possibilities and we are getting closer to the Harbingers more.
