I Created A Pixel Town Full Of Marvel Heroes - Scott And Jean Got Married
Where are Pixel Gamers out there? If you are fond of pixel games or pixelated games then this is a game that you might want to try. If you have not heard about Kairosoft yet, they are a Japan Game Developer company that uniquely specializes in simulation pixelated games. Though the theme is all the same, this city building game really relaxed me after the stress of work.
I play DreamTown Story. It is a city building game, where you fulfill the dreams of the people residing in your town. The exciting part is that I named my residents after the characters of Marvel.
At the start you will have at least one Flower Shop and Gravel Path and an Office. Then you will initiate the first citizen in your town, and I named it Stan Lee. Stan Lee is the father of Marvel so better to start with him. Unlike other city building games, DreamTown Story enables you to name your residents. With that feature I was able to create a town of MCU. I started with Stan Lee and then Kevin Feige and then the Summers, Scott and Jean. They are somewhere in the middle of town.
Stan Lee got married to Wanda actually in this town. In a very “uncanny” event, in the game Scott and Jean really got married. It is really amazing that the actual game made them married as well. Bruce Banner is married to Carol Danvers, we have a Dancer Phil Coulson, and ironically Johnny Blaze is a Traffic Analyst here. You can not set the road on fire when he’s in town. We have a Fortune-Teller Wanda here so close to what she really is in the comics.
As you progress, you will be able to earn Gold from the shops monthly and you need also pay monthly costs for it. At first, the monthly cost is bigger than the earning so you need to strategize on spending and strategize how to get your people to spend. It costs Gold everytime you buy a lot for the house and for your shops. The prices of the lot for the house and the shops increases depending on how many shops of the same name are already being utilized plus the land price of the area. Usually my strategy is to spend some Gold in the beginning of the day after the earnings and deduction is calculated. There is this payment of rent every April, a review in October and in December which Santa will rate your score for the whole year, and all of those activities will be compensated with Gold.
At some point I forgot some of the real names of Polaris and at some point I forgot who the other female heroes are. I already have X-23 and Jubilee and Abigail Brand of S.W.O.R.D. but I still do not have Storm or Thing. Sometimes I think of a character that is not that popular more than the characters that are popular.
I really enjoyed naming my citizens though sometimes it is a chore. With the Multiverse coming into the scenario sometimes it is funny to think that in this tiny town of the multiverse Jane Foster and Stephen Strange are married. Ben Parker and May Parker are just neighbors, though there are things that have not changed where Scott and Jean, indeed, are married.
I really do not want this to sound like a review because I still need to review it further for how long this game is free to play. I understand that this is already free to play with in game purchases but the limitation should not be to the extent that you need to invest money in the game. I truly understand what the developers are trying to do here but the game would be enjoyed for a limited time only since there is this paywall to be able to proceed is to buy something. Free To Play should be time bound but not impossible to achieve in a weeks or months time. The game will truly suffer in the long run.
