Genshin Impact Update v2.7 - What Is Down There In The Depths Of Chasm

Version 2.7 of Genshin Impact is just around the corner; the pre-installation update was already released, and the update will be available on the 31st of May. It should but I am not sure if the update goes sideways, it is better to have a working update then releasing it on the release day with a lot of bugs. As always,  the trailer of Genshin Impact is cinema quality.It is surely an action packed update as always as it involves Xiao, yes they will rerun the banner of Xiao in the 2.7 Update, Hidden dreams in the depths.

Our retrogaming event is going to a close and I just want to celebrate just to cover another amazing game, Genshin Impact. A lot of games are coming in 2022 but this old timer from Hoyoverse really got my attention.

This post is not a review on the update but rather a little bit of a run down on what to expect in the update. The review will probably be released after a month. Ok, I’ve been playing Genshin Impact for quite some time now but I just want to have a better perspective about the game if ever I will start Genshin Impact in the version 2.7 update. I started a new account in Marvel Future Fight 2018 in September just to document how long I can have a Tier-3. Most of the Free-to-play games are anchored to time. If you want less time, purchase materials or subscribe to a biometric subscription to have premium characters or to quickly get the materials you need, easy peezy. Though as a Free-To-Play gamer, you should not invest, I bought a stark chest before but it did not help me at all. The only thing that it did is to have another slot of items in the CO-OP. It has a different name now. Now I will be restarting my journey again in Genshin Impact, to correct some mistakes of the past. There will be tips later on.

2.7 Update Back Story

Something happened in Chasm a long time ago and in this update we should uncover or discover probably what happened there. Xiao needs our help and it seems the journey will be rough. The story will revolve on the involvement of Yelan in the story. Yelan is the newest character together with Kuki Shinobu. The rest of the updates will be a new mini-game, new quests and a rerun of Xiao’s banner.

I am not sure if you do this but for me it is like a new episode in a series, or a new movie that I really do not want spoilers. I guess I will not be able to cover this in our first 3 to 5 posts about Genshin Impact, since we will be starting all over again. Based on the trailer it will still involve Chasm so it may be very difficult at some point. Actually my “happy place” is Dragonspine, I still do have a lot of unsolved quests there but I love being there because of it. These are one of my mistakes and I will discuss it later on.

The 2 New Characters

In the trailer it seems Yelan is a bow user, and Kuki is a sword user. If I still have a good set of eyes Yelan should be Hydro because of the deep blue color. If you pause the trailer in 0:55 seconds it should show you Yelan is having a Hydro vision, but I figured it out based on the color. Kuki on the other hand seems like an Electro, based on the color of her skills. I didn’t see or get if she has a vision dangling around her but she seems to be an Electro.

Why did I decide to reset my journey?

The whole purpose of creating a new account is first to maximize Primogems. There is a lot of content in the game that offers a lot of Primogems that I skipped. Now I will try to have that content accomplished so that I can have more Primogems. For the same reason, I want to spend my Primogems wisely. Another purpose is one quest at a time. I tried to do that on my first account however, I don’t know where I got lost along the way. Now I religiously finish the first one quest at a time. Proper build, now that I have a little bit more knowledge than before in terms of build, I should manage the build of my characters better. Lastly, we would want to review Genshin Impact to its Free-To-Play friendliness, so let's see if we can have 10 10 pulls within the update. In that magnitude it should produce at least 2 five-stars.
