The Launch Of Yugi-Oh Master Duel - It Is Free From Steam
Though there are a lot of existing card games out there, the dynamics of Yugi Oh never failed to amaze me. The complicated varieties and conditions of each and every card whether you are summoning or satisfying the exact condition of the trap card, YugiOh is still best at it. I was playing Duel Generation before on mobile but Konami decided to stop supporting the game. That game really interests me because of the guided prompts. You have an option when your trap card will be activated that I did not feel in the Duel Links, beside the other bugs that I experienced in the mobile game.
Now that Master Duel is available on Steam and it is free I will explore this once more. Let’s see how far we can go on the free account without spending a penny.
The game is light, did not take too much of my storage, it did not even reach GB, so it will be a quick download.
What Do I Expect In The Game?
I do have expectations about this game, but of course I also expect that all of my wishes will not be in this game. What can I expect? It is free. At least for these 4 criteria:
The Cards - I am expecting a decent amount of cards for free. I hope it is not a pay to win game. I am not expecting to complete all the sets but at least some decent cards to play around.
The Summoning - Besides the cards, if you are a true Yugi-Oh fan you know that each series has a different kind of summoning. The anime evolved a lot, I only watched up to Arc V but I hope all of the kinds of summoning will be in the game.
Difficulty - I expect that it is a very challenging game, I get excited more if the game will be challenging that can leave me thinking what cards would work on my opponents.
Acquisition Of Cards - Will it be per pack or per piece, unlocking some of them in a game mode? I hope that the different characters of the anime will be the level of difficulty. In that way the players would review their knowledge in the anime with the cards that characters use in the actual series.
Like I said I am not expecting too much on these 4 criterias of mine, but I hope it will be enough for me to stay in the game.
Other Features
There is a story behind the cards. It sounds like Zexal to me since Astral has a number and a number corresponds to a card, it sounds like the idea came from Zexal. Though there is a little bit of history in the first Yugi-oh series, Zexal really highlighted the story of the cards. Going back to the game, if you get to unlock the story you should get to unlock the card that will eventually go to your deck.
I am not sure about Rotating Tournaments but if that will be a venue to unlock excellent cards I am all for it. 10000+ cards hopefully all of that will be free and the plus plus cards will be the premium ones. If that would be true then
I am very excited with this game, it has been a while since I played Yugi-Oh, expect more posts about the game, hopefully I will not uninstall it in Week 1.
