The Un-Reviving Review For The Revived Witch

I can not stress more how much I enjoy playing pixelated games. It is simple and complicated at the same time, no expectations on the graphics because hey it's pixelated. As much as I enjoy playing this game because it reminds me again of a Norse mythology based game, the content is not as engaging.

This is the review of the Revive Witch.

I do not know how pixelated games really gravitate me on their games as much as I love Marvel. I guess I grew up in the generation of Mario, Galaga, and Contra that I did not get to enjoy when I was growing up? What I am sure of is that this anime, pixelated game Revived Witch has a lot to offer however I miss the important thing, engagement. Why would I play your game every single day?

Revive Witch is a RPG game that combines the magic of pixel art and the advancement of 3D lighting. You will play as a witch that doesn't remember what happened before she awakened in a tower where she starts her journey.

The story is really amazing until you get into chapter 2 when it becomes stale. You will really get curious about the opening story line however in the middle of chapter 2 the usual scenario is that she will help everyone that she bumps into. The story could have been better if the tower journey was a bit longer and ended knowing her purpose already, then she gets to help everyone else.

They put a dragging scenario that is not applicable to games. That scenario is engaging because the people that you meet get to join your crusade, that was a huge miss on the storyline and engagement. I remember any turn-based console games, such as the Final Fantasy series or Legend of The Dragoon, they get to help the characters that they bumped into and that character will eventually join your party.

Since this is a Gacha game, you will not have the luxury to grow your party and strategize on the characters that you have because you need to buy premium tokens to open a chest.

Marvel Future Fight is so successful because you can collect a lot of heroes and you are able to experience the updates and test out heroes for yourself. While Gacha games really rely on pure luck.

The mechanics are quite tricky not to mention getting a lot of healers early on in the game, so will I heal the monsters to death? There is also no normal attack in the battle phase you will rely on the gauge to use your skills, how convenient.

The contents are appearing when I reach the level. Like Witch Courtyard, it suddenly appears when I reach level 4 or 5 I think, and it will be a surprise if there is more.

I do not like surprises. I want to see where I am going. I like the waifus and the pixelated version of it, I just don’t see myself being excited to play with it in a couple of days.

Developers should not use Gacha as ways to earn, they need to strategize so that other players from different countries will play this game. If you like pixelated games and manga based games this game really suits you.

This game will be 3 stars for me. I guess the game dies down if you can not strategize your party and you will just be focusing on a few characters only, look what I got 2 Ultra Rare but both healers. Crazy right?
