This Is How I Revived My Account In Genshin Impact - Ascension Quest Tips
At first I really doubted that I would no longer correct my account in Genshin Impact. Surprisingly, in just a few weeks, I was able to ascend the characters that I need and there are a lot of new characters to mix match. I am an “Elemental Mastery junkie” . I love to switch back and forth between my characters to trigger Reactions. In this post I will share how I was able to revive my dying account in Genshin Impact.
My initial post about Genshin Impact here, is just to show my initial line up of my account. I was at Adventure Rank 35 back then. It was already pretty boring at that stage that I can delete every single Boss back then easily just with the right mix and match of my characters there is nothing we can “OOF”. Then the Ascension begins, I know that the world will level up as well, I did not expect that the monsters would jump from level 40 to level 70. There is nothing I can do but to postpone my amazing journey to Chasm, and go back to Monstadt.
Before you go to Ascension quest, manage your characters like this and you should be able to cope up even if the World will level up with it.
Manage Your Hero’s Wit - Before I went to Ascension I was a huge spender of Hero’s Wit. I thought that I could level up my character through adventure. Well that is not the case, I only notice it when I ascend to Rank 42.
If you are stuck to Adventure Rank 35 (or 34) and you did not do your Ascension quest, the Adventure Experience moving forward before your Ascension quest will continue to accumulate. When I did the Ascension Quest, I jumped from 35 to 42.
Unlike other RPGs or MMORPG for that matter, there is a spot in that world where the experience is good. Good meaning you are able to kill the monsters in that area, and the experience that you are getting from those monsters is high enough to level you up fast. Genshin Impact is not like that. It all lies on the Hero’s Wit. Even if you go to a place like for example Liyue, you will not get a spot where monsters or we can say Hurlichurls will respawn back a few seconds after you killed them. There is no spot.
Even if you kill a level 75 monster you will never get a huge bump of experience so it all depends on the Hero’s wit you are getting. Before I max out everyone not thinking the excess experience points from the Hero’s wit. I am wasting a lot of experience that can be done by the other two books. Now I am preserving every experience that I do not max them out through the books, but rather through the field. I always leave my character now up to level 69 or 59 with a few experience points needing at least 100 to 300 experience points depending on the ascension requirement that I still need to accomplish.
In that way I maximize the use of the experience books, without wasting their value maxing out each and every character. With that I can give the whole value of the books to the other characters, distributing it fairly to all of them.
Catch Up With Their Talents - Your character talents are your best weapon. We know how the Weapon Banner is rigged with dark magics from Hoyoverse. With that you need to make sure that the talents of your characters catch up with their levels. To be able to do that, early on the game farms a lot of talent upgraders. As early as your first ascend of your character learn what are the materials needed to level up their talents.
Go to domains more often or unlock domains as early as you unlock the Statue of The Seven in Windrise. You have to go to these domains, farm artifacts and farm upgrade materials. Even if your weapon or artifact sucks as long as your talent is maxed the damage will come in.
Do The Ascension Quest If You Are Ready - I did the ascension quest when 2 of my characters just reached level 60. That would be the suicide attempt to your account.
After your Ascension Quest, the world will level up with you, however not all of your characters are ready so it will be a huge mistake. Do the Ascension quest when your team is ready, not just 2 but at least 2 teams that can be dependable when the world upgrades.
The Ascension Quest can wait Adventure experience is not wasted it accumulates so don’t pressure yourself.
The Blue Leyline Is Your Best friend - I did not realize this when I needed to fix my account. You can farm Experience Books in the Leyline deposit but you should pick the blue one. The yellow is more on Mora.
I remove these Leyline deposits at least four to six of them on a daily basis. The Leyline deposit moves in a not that far location. Do this after Commissions and Boss hunt, so that you have all of the time to waste on these Leyline Deposits.
Those four that I just told you worked for me, I have a 20 level gap to my world to the monsters in Inazuma and Chasm. In a few weeks I have already recovered from it and will be ascending my support characters now. I am just leveling up my DPS on the field as their Ascension requirements are already in place. If you are stuck don’t create a new one, it will be a tough transition but it is all worth it!
