The Making Of The Ruler: Week 3 - Should We Put Dodge to Doctor Doom?
Thank you so much for supporting the All Marvel All Month event and we are happy that it went well and the post yesterday is not the last of it. We will still continue building Doctor Doom and we are almost there. We managed to upgrade Doctor Doom’s Gear at Max level.
This week is the week where we max the gears of Doctor Doom. My process has always been, max the potential and level it up. You can not proceed to the next 2 levels if you did not upgrade the potential. Though I do not max out the gears all together with the Potential, it remained at level 20 until the character reached 70. The reason is that the gears and the potential is sharing materials. Though in upgrading potential you have an option to use Chaos Norn Stones, well both Black Anti-matter and Chaos Norn Stones are not easy to farm. Might as well use Black Anti-matter in enhancing potential if needed and worry about the gears later on. Since when you do the upgrade for the gears, there is another material you need to worry about.
From here it will be a long farming of Cosmic Cube Fragment and Titan Component Pack. I could go with Knull twice since ever since I cleared Knull, there is no round that I did not have a CCF. Though I am not sure yet if the next clears will be the first.
For some time now, I have been observing Doctor Doom in Auto-mode, and I noticed that skill 5 and 4 are both in iFrame. On skill 5 the animation is that he will go immediately in an iFrame then the missile. The animation is a bit long, in which Doom remains in an iFrame and then another iFrame for the 4th skill where he goes up in the air and releases some sort of flares. With that in between there is a gap where you can stun Doctor Doom and it will be the end of it. However that would be just a split of 1 to 2 seconds that Doctor Doom goes out of the iFrame and proceeds on the next skill. The 4th skill is the killer one. If you get to hold Spider-man or Thanos on that 4th skill they are done. If they will not get a hand of Doctor Doom on that moment when Doom is out in the iFrame, that will be the end of it for them. If Doom is able to Dodge it, just to continue the attack on the 4th skill, it will be the death sentence of them in Timeline Battles.
I am glad I left 2 slots of Uru for dodge and instead of skill cooldown, and adjusted ISO for another set of dodge. Adding Defense would not cut it since if you get hurt your recovery will prolong the execution of the next skill. It should be dodged so that the animation will be continuous.
I will continue to test if the skill cool down would not greatly affect the smooth transition of each skill. I am not sure how I can improve more on the dodge part, I think most of my characters as well are in need of dodge. Almost invisible in the Timeline Battle is Ant-man with 73% dodge. However Ant-man is really lacking a lot of options to be a powerful character. Probably in Quantumania we can get a better Ant-man. The original Avengers are slowly being overshadowed with Shang-Chi and other newer ones. I think we badly need to improve their uniforms, especially Cyclops.
For Doctor Doom the only left for him is to complete a couple of CCF and Titan Component Pack. I hope the optional uniforms for him are the ones that I already have, maybe Shang-Chi uni or other uniforms that I already have so that I can boost Doom’s Dodge.
We are now in Week 3 and stay tuned for another week. Hopefully this week we can finally Tier-3 Doom.
