The Making Of A Ruler - Building Doctor Doom In Marvel Future Fight on Free To Play

In the first part of our series we will be building Doctor Doom! I am not sure if you are a fan but in the comics Doctor Doom is really a badass villain. In Marvel Future Fight he is not quite in the meta but he is potentially good in PVP. Bottomline: I am just a fan of the Prime Ruler of Latveria.

In this series I will build Doctor Doom up to Tier-3 and let’s see what use we can make of him in any other content. I played Marvel Future Fight this whole week and focused my resources on Doctor Doom.

You can get Doctor Doom in the Fantastic Four Epic Quest, so you need to advance 7 characters up to Tier-2 to get a 1-star Doctor Doom. Mr. Fantastic,  Crystal, The Thing, She-Hulk, Victorious, Human Torch and Invisible Woman are the characters you need to advance to Tier-2 to get Doctor Doom. Even though I love the default outfit of Doctor Doom, I decided to go with his 3099 uniform.

As you all know all uniforms of native Tier-2 costs 2500 Crystals and it is upgradeable by different grades of Black Anti-Matter. Currently the 3099 uniform is in Advanced and the uniform requirement is the Living Weapon uniform of Iron Fist that is currently Rare.

I do not have a lot of Energy Attack Urus right now so that can be a problem if we can’t have enough to complete his build. Urus suddenly became a necessity, it is suddenly a commodity I am not sure if its because there were less venues to farm Urus and Urus can only be farmed in Dispatch Missions. That is where I put Doctor Doom now in Dispatch Missions, it is a win win scenario, I can farm the Urus and at the same time I manage to get uniform experience to advance his uniform further.

Having Doctor Doom in Level 70 I am testing him up to what level of Cull Obsidian he can be of use. I started at stage 20 of Cull Obsidian, he just obliterates the guy. On stage 30 the battle became difficult when the life of Cull Obsidian went to the 10 life bar mark. Cull Obsidian’s armor really became tougher between bars 9 to 5, then after that it went ok, probably the armor expired when I reached bar 4. On Stage 40, I died, it is ok to die but if you only need one bar of life from Cull it is a big deal that you died. That’s what happened in bar 40. I did not bring any healing strikers, in all of the battles in stage 20  to 40. I did not bring any healing strikers in stage 50 but I was not able to finish the stage. I tried thrice but I was not able to finish stage 50. I finished cutting down to 3 bars of Cull Obsidian. Stage 50 is 1 stage beyond where proper resistance works, it is still the same story even on Stage 49.

With the initial build for Doctor Doom at least you can clear 40 worth of stage with proper resistance. Our Doctor Doom is still young and there are a lot of things that can be added to him. Uru is still not complete, no CTP nor not Tier-3 yet but can clear a decent amount of Stage of Cull Obsidian, not bad right?
