Genshin Impact 3.1 Release - The Sand's Majesty And Tumbleweeds

3.1 Release is pretty much setting the bar a little high this time. Not because of the new characters but rather the desert and the forest made it all special! A dry desert and a rainforest who would have thought! I was thinking that The Chasm is pretty much experimentation. Instead of entering the inner tunnels of the Chasm will be loading screen, they put all of the caves and tunnels under mountains and large trees and Ruin Guards!

I must say if I would review Genshin Impact on its first version, it probably flunked it all. I guess a low score is probably the usual score of a game that is starting out. The game would be normally compared or its mechanics being compared to other games. Bugs are still very obvious in the game, and Anemo might not be the impressive element to start with.

As the new release approaches and Nihida is just on the door, 3.0 and 3.1 are just amazing updates coming to this point. Here’s why

Dendro Element - Dendro is the newest element introduced in 3.0 though I only have Collei as a native Dendro character, the Dendro element outclassed the other elements with a lot of Elemental Reactions on Dendro. Though it is unfortunate that Geo is not included on those elemental reactions, Dendro and its current reactions to Pyro, Electro and Hydro upgrade greatly the 3 elements as well.

Dendro Archon Statues - As the main element of Sumeru, the land of Dendro Archon, having Sumeru’s Statue of the Seven really upgraded our Traveler. With that the Traveler is now my main Dendro character in the game dealing a minimum of 1k Dendro damage and it can spike up to 9k Dendro damage.

Four-Leaf Sigil - This is an amazing feature where you can have a literal zipline. Basically you can swing from sigil to sigil in Sumeru. Make sure to interact with the Cluster Leaves of Cultivation to have an additional Four-Leaf Sigil. What it does is that when attacked by Dendro it spits another Four-Leaf Sigil.

Aranara - Even how anticlimactic these small creatures are, Aranaras are definitely a very helpful being. They have a gadget to prove their usefulness. Well yes, they are only useful on Sumeru but it makes the journey lighter. So yes, I commend their addition in the game.

The Withering - Probably this is the worst thing in this list but I like the challenge. I also like the end animation every time you clear a Withering. I can do the squishing of Withering Tumors everytime, everyday.

Stamina Flower - They are the tiny yellow flowers you found on cliffs but unlike the Violetgrass, they are not harvested. They turn into Stamina immediately upon interaction which I appreciate, though Candace has passive to have a lesser use of Stamina these flowers are definitely useful on my adventures.

There are a lot of positives in this release though there are still some small bad sides here and there, like there is only one artifact domain in Sumeru the rest are more on the materials. Though I did not unlock the other domains in Sumeru which by the way it is hard to figure where the hell it is. Also the mushrooms are too light,  they just throw themselves over the cliff which is by the way a climax killer. You have to go down or wait for the mushroom to get back up on the cliff. I said this in the recent survey and I am not sure what they will do about it.

In General at this point of the game, the lore is engaging, they maintained the level of intrigue around the Akademiya and their Archon. With the involvement of iL Dottore and Scaramouche just heightened it up more. It is amazing how they put the story all together for the players to crave more about the lore.

The game itself always challenges the players to be better and strive to level the old characters and the new. 3.0 Update given a brand new playing field with the Dendro Element. Now that it is here and the Archon is already knocking on the door, what else is there with Fontaine or Natlan? Now I am more curious to what else is in store for us in the remaining areas since their elements are already in the game. Will there be more elemental reactions?

The game is balanced as of now, Dendro really boosted the other Elements that Dendro has reactions with. The landscape is getting trickier and trickier with the caves and the rainforest. Unlocking and finding a way in and out has been an amazing experience though sometimes I get so annoyed with where the Waypoint really is, at the end of the day it was a fun experience and will continue to play the game. In all of his Majesty the game has proven that a free to play game could exist with a solid player base and those players that are curious with the lore. With the wide reach of platforms Genshin Impact will continue to flourish with another year on their hand.
