Namor Would Be Indeed In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

By now you have probably seen the Black Panther teaser and prior to the release of the teaser there was a leak that Namor would somehow have an Incan / Aztec feel on the film. What would be the predicament that Black Panther and Namor will face here?

As we saw the announcement in Hall H that Black Panther will be the last movie in Phase 5. Normally the last movie or series in a phase would open a lot of unanswered questions from the last that transpired in the other movies and series. The conflict now is why Black Panther would cross-path with Namor which is in Atlantis?

From Avengers: Endgame, Okoye dodged to discuss some issues, when Atlantis was brought up in the table that it seems that Wakanda does not meddle with the concerns under the ocean. Either she doesn't want to mess with the Atlanteans, or there is already an existing conflict and she doesn't want to fuel the fire between Wakanda and Atlanteans.

In the comics, most of the series that I read, Namor usually bumped into Iron Man not Black Panther. In the Invincible Iron Man series, Namor had a deal with Osborne that Namor sieged the underwater lab of Tony Stark. In the pre-Civil War series, there is this Illuminati episode where Iron Man and Namor clashed in the meeting. T’Challa was still not part of the Illuminati back then. Maybe I am not that a Black Panther fan though I see some pages T'Challa comfronting Namor, I was not able to read that one yet.

This Wakanda Forever plot would be an interesting twist at least for me. Surface dwellers, and Atlanteans would have a war I guess. To what extent the war will be we will never know. Also what will be the participation of Namor moving forward. I know Namor is a bit of a headache to other characters but what could be the participation of Namor or Atlantis itself in the other phases. Will another mutant be introduced in the movie? Slowly Inhumans and Mutants are introduced, though it is not in Earth-616, the MCU will not stop in Doctor Strange don’t they? Though Namor could be considered a mutant, what other mutants will be introduced hereafter.

I am really intrigued on what the transition from T’Challa to the princess of Wakanda will be. To honor Chadwick Boseman, the MCU will no longer linger to CGI just to have a proper transition. Which I think is a very wise decision. Their creative juices have been depleted thinking what would be the best transition to retire the role of the male Black Panther.

I just hope they would show the combat prowess of the princess, rather than be overly linked to the loss of her brother. I would like to see how we moved on to this great loss in the whole MCU franchise.
