Blockchain Games Is It Worth The Try? Or A Scam?
Stakes are high and low income to none? Are you worried about these when you hear play-to-earn games?
There are a lot of topics to take in when you engage yourself in the blockchain or cryptocurrency scene. With that it is normal to worry about something that you don’t know.
Blockchain is a technology that charges up cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and many others. Blockchain allows programs to be decentralized and controlled by everyone that has access to it. In terms of games, you can own a part of the game, like castles or a piece of land virtually.
That is just in definition but there is more to it than just playing games, hence more worries. Investors or players that would buy a piece of the game and use NFT to prove they own it.
Add NFT to your vocabulary!
It might be crazy as it sounds, I am already a bit late to know everything about these topics. If you start in this industry you really need to be a reader about the updates and the fluctuations of the prices.
There is a whole new “stock-market” like marketplace inside these blockchain games.
Is it a scam or not?
As far as I have heard with friends, these blockchain games are legitimately making them a lot of money.
As previously defined it is not as easy as it sounds. The crazy world of cryptocurrencies are not for those that are conservative, these are for risk-takers.
Buying a piece of content in a game for a specific amount of investment is not for conservative ones.
Paying for a digital art worth $500,000 is really mental!!!
Crazy as it may seem, people buy crazy stuff just minting the digital art, how much more a Legendary warrior in a game or a rare breed of digital pet. It is really jaw-dropping once you know the value of each.
Now I am trying free-to-play blockchain games to test out the waters. I am more focused on participating and being on the scene. Still learning and reading and reading more about how to manage this generation's economy.
The one that I am playing is from Pocket Arena they have a lot of games to try out and earn digital tokens or XP which can be exchanged.
I am still in the grinding phase but I will surely talk more about it in the coming days.
I also tried Neon District. I have no proof of earning yet but I am investing my time to farm neons which is the currency within the game. The premise is that you need neons to buy crates which is similar to gacha mechanics in that you get crates and the contents are totally random.
These 2 games are free to play so you will need to invest time until you can have enough tokens to exchange for something valuable.
I will continue to grind until we reach the time that we can cash out what we have invested in these games.
GG.
