The Cast Has Been Filled: Mephisto Will Be In The MCU

Many of my friends would rather put Johnny Depp back to Disney side again with the Mephisto role however people from Marvel saw it differently. As you all know, we already have someone to play as Mephisto in the MCU. So where will Mephisto fit in the MCU? Or where he will start his dubious plans in the MCU?

Who is Mephisto?

He is practically the demonic character in the comics. His appearances intertwined with Thanos, Doctor Strange, The Ghost Rider, The Silver Surfer and the Scarlet Witch, with whom he has sons. He is the main villain in the story arc of the Midnight Suns. He made some bargains to Death with Thanos in the Infinity Saga in Marvel Comics.

There are reports that Mephisto will first appear in the Ironheart series which I don’t know exactly how it would play out, the devil with Ironheart? Where in hell? That would be the perfect reaction but I am expecting he will debut with Agatha, that is where dark summons and rituals will be right? Summoning the devil himself. I truly expected that Mephisto will be somewhere in Wandavision but if ever there will be a 2nd season of Wandavision where it is actually suitable.

Though the MCU has a different approach in terms of storytelling, reports say that Mephisto will be appearing on the Ironheart series. Curiosity sometimes has brought me some disappointments from the recent releases and surprises on the MCU but it didn’t strike interest afterwards. Not sure if they have something good in store at the end of this year, well Black Panther has been in the hype, not sure how the movie would hold it until the patrons came in. Same as for the series, The Winter Soldier and The Falcon seems to put a little bit of jynx to the succeeding series. Will Ironheart break the cycle?

Don’t get me wrong, the series so far are good, but there are just bits and pieces of it that affect the whole series to appear bad. From cosmetics, dark jokes, poor translations and maybe some small things that could be ignored but it was just done in a poor taste. Mephisto is a very much awaited character though I have some hopes for a darker being like Knull but Mephisto is a very good start. The twisty characteristic of the role makes it more interesting though the person taking up the role is so much more.

When you look up Sacha Cohen, and Mephisto there is some uncanny resemblance. There is nothing to work on further and if you would watch him in Borat, he is undeniably Mephisto. I am picturing Mephisto with a very sexy accent which will fit Sacha. He will tease our mind and our ears with his slithering voice. It is like Hugh Jackman to Wolverine or Tony Stark to Robert Downey. They fit in a T.

How I would hope that his debut would be astonishing and would be another Mjolnir-Captain America moment. Thanos has no similar moment when he was featured on the end credit scenes on the movies going towards the Infinity Saga. The hype was there that finally Thanos! But this time around with all of the leaks the hype is not as much. Though it is still exciting to hear the casts the star that would portray and the role but with too much buzz there is no mystery anymore, I guess. It is very different that everything is announced in Hall H. The fans would want another level of hype on these kinds of news around the MCU.
